Pull up a chair, the kettle's just boiled...

There's something magical about this time of year. Maybe it's the twinkly lights, maybe it's the smell of peppermint and cinnamon drifting through every shop doorway, or maybe it's just that I've spent the past few weeks hopping between festive craft fairs like an over-caffeinated Christmas elf.

Yes, Daisy Chain Gifts is in full seasonal swing!

Mythical Midwinter Market
Mythical Midwinter Market

We've been attending markets big and small, indoor and outdoor - from bustling indoor fairs full of glittery chaos, to tiny cozy church events where everyone knows everyone else, to an online mythical marketplace complete with dragons (www.procraftersguild.com)! It's been wonderful meeting so many of you in person, chatting about scents, gift ideas, and which bath bomb smells most like "a hug but sparkly".

And for those of you who prefer shopping in fuzzy socks with a mug of something warm nearby, we've added lots of new festive items to the online shop. Think winter spices, comforting florals, and a sprinkle of holiday magic. I've had so much fun creating this year's seasonal collection - it's basically Christmas in soap form, without the pine needles stuck in your socks.

A Little Reminder about Last Shipping Dates

As always the postal elves are working hard, but they do get busy (and honestly, who doesn't at this time of year?). If you are planning to order gifts from the website, please keep an eye on the last shipping dates (https://www.usps.com/holiday/holiday-shipping-dates.htm). I'm doing my best to get everything wrapped, packed, and posted as quickly as possible, but getting your orders in early means fewer grey hairs for both of us!

In Other, Much Furrier News...

Because it wouldn't be a Daisy Chain Gifts update without a little behind-the-scenes peek...

I brought home some foster kittens - Pincushion Flower and Soulbinder. They were in need of some socialization in a quiet home. Pincushion has decided that the clean towels all belong to her and has created a secret snuggle bunker on the linen shelf where she will allow occasional head scritches. Soulbinder, meanwhile, has taken on the role of supervisory cuddle inspector and ensures I take regular breaks by demanding attention like a weighted blanket with whiskers.

They have opinions about me preparing for the markets. They also have opinions about the boxes. Mainly that all boxes belong to cats and I am merely borrowing them.

I'm expecting their festive review of the holiday season soon - I am sure it will involve treats, naps, and a questionable life choice or two by the "staff" i.e. me.

And finally....

Thank you, truly, for supporting my little business. Whether you shop online, pop by a market stall, share posts with friends, or simply enjoy reading these updates while sipping your morning coffee.

Here's to a December filled with warmth, a festive season filled with joy, and maybe a bit of glitter that refuses to leave your carpet until March.

With love, and a kitchen full of half-wrapped soap,

Gillian x
